SHAZIA

Hand tufted rug in 40 % wool / 60 % viscose. The design is created using differing tuft heights. The rug’s base is composed of 9-10 mm high tufts, with tufts of height 13-14 mm used for the design.

 

SHAZIA BEIGE. : The beige colour used for the woollen part is no. 25 beige from the pompom rings, with no. 55 pearl grey used for the viscose section. Please allow for a tolerance of +/- 3 % in terms of length and width.

SHAZIA ROSE. : There is no equivalent for this pink colour in the pompom rings. Please allow for a tolerance of +/- 3 % in terms of length and width.

SHAZIA ROUGE BRUNI : The red colour used for the woollen part is no. 2 Rouge Bruni from the pompom rings, with no. 1 Rouge Prune used for the viscose section. Please allow for a tolerance of +/- 3 % in terms of length and width.

Meet the designer
Mona Ronteix

A graduate of the école Camondo (2016), Mona bases her work on the principle of experimentation. This exploratory work is conducted through graphic design, photography and film.The plasticity of light is the crucial point in her approach to each project. At the age of 24, she runs her own studio and self-produces limited runs of illuminated sculptures.

Mona also sets great store by handwork, collaborating closely with artisans whilst developing her prototypes. Their skills are a force for inspiration and diversity in her work.
The Shazia rug marks her first collaboration with Ligne Roset.
