R. & E. Bouroullec

Erwan and Ronan Bouroullec, born in 1976 and 1971 respectively, began their collaborative design journey in 1997. Their approach is guided by a commitment to working only on projects they find both inspiring and meaningful, a philosophy that has led to both commercial and critical acclaim.

Their portfolio includes collaborations with renowned brands such as Vitra, Cappellini, Issey Miyake, Magis, Ligne Roset, Habitat, and Kréo Gallery. Beyond furniture and product design, they have also ventured into architectural projects, such as the Floating House, commissioned by Le Centre d’Art de Chatou.

Their work has been widely exhibited in both collective and solo exhibitions, including Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec at the London Design Museum in 2002. In 2004, they held solo exhibitions at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles and the Boijmans Museum of Art in Rotterdam. In 2005, they participated in a group exhibition at the Seoul Art Center, Hangaram Design Museum in Korea.

Their 2005 design Facett for Ligne Roset solidified their reputation as leading figures in contemporary design, with the armchair recognized as an icon of its time.
