Cirene
It’s static and stackable, with or without armrests, and covered in fabric or leather. Cirene is a project by Vico Magistretti, that comes in many versions. All of the solutions are unmistakably elegant but also extremely versatile and comfortable: the anatomical curved beech shell sits on a slender polished chromed or matte black painted steel frame.
FRAME: chrome-plated polished or matt black powder-coated steel. Feet and spacer in thermoplastic material. The model with
armrests is also available with an armrest cover in black plastic.Polished chrome-plated steel hook for side-by-side connection.
FIRM SEAT: bent beech plywood, lacquered with anthracite-grey water-based or solvent-based coating, or with white laminate,
with visible edge in beech plywood or veneered in natural maple,or in red aniline-dyed beechwood, finished with transparent
water-based or solvent-based coating.
UPHOLSTERED SEAT: bent beech plywood, padded with polyurethane foam with light polyester velvet.
For the FR (Fire Resistant)versions on request, the filling materials comply with the current regulations.

Architect and designer, studied at Politecnico di Torino and Champ Universitarie Italien in Losanne. Graduated from Politecnico di Milano in 1945. immediately after graduating from Politecnico, Vico Magistretti began his career working with the architect Paolo Chessa at the firm owned and run by his father Pier Giulio Magistretti on via Conservatorio, now Fondazione Studio Magistretti aimed at promoting his life and career.
Important figure within the history of Italian architecture and Design, he made a name of himself thanks to designs, products and his academic career. Magistretti’s research has been continuous – into design, the culture of the project and innovative experimentation with materials and space solutions, not to mention shapes and functions far from the rigours of fashions that passed through during the years.
