Crafted from natural rattan sourced from Indonesia—where ancestral craftsmanship ensures both durability and resilience—the seat embodies both tradition and sustainability. The base is made of bronze-lacquered metal, adding a refined touch.

He was born in Berlin in 1959, and has lived in Hamburg since 1984. He studied industrial design in Berlin and Hamburg. Since 1992, he has had his own product design and interior architecture studio. He designs furniture for the foremost international manufacturers and undertake a variety of projects for stands, restaurants, publicity agencies, shops, franchises, etc. He also works with international companies such as Authentics, Carpet Concept, Cinna, Club Med, JAB-Anstoetz, Kabel New Media, Ligne Roset, Thonet, Tonon.
