Pukka Large ottoman

The Pukka collection embodies exceptional comfort and innovative design, drawing inspiration from the iconic UP50 collection by Gaetano Pesce in 1969. Inspired by the resilience of a sponge, Yabu & Pushelberg reinterpret this concept with a soft, organic, and feminine touch, creating a piece that exudes sensual comfort.

Meticulous stitching, ultra-flexible foams, and precisely tensioned lines demanded expert craftsmanship to achieve flawless upholstery. This was made possible using exceptionally stretchable fabrics, particularly the new Gentle fabric—a 100% wool stretch velvet—that wraps the form perfectly, enhancing its inviting and sculptural presence.

Yabu Pushelberg

« We design places and products : immersive environments, compelling destinations. George Yabu and Glenn Pushelberg founded their studio in 1980, with an accent on interior decoration. With offices in New York and Toronto and a team of more than one hundred creatives and professionals, we design buildings, interiors, landscapes, lighting systems, furniture, objects and graphics with a focus which goes well beyond what things look like, to how they make people feel. We are always looking to the future and incessantly seek new innovations, trying to create the memorable experiences of tomorrow. With an accessible, collaborative way of designing and resolving problems, we believe it is important to dream and to overcome obstacles in order to arrive at new solutions. We bring the same attention to detail to each project, from tabletop objects to the new materials, and we actively look for partners who share our passion for doing better than what was done before. For us, it’s all about designing the world we want to live in.
