In terms of construction and finish, SELVANS is offered in three material options. The Dark Walnut version features an internal compartment finished in chocolat lacquer, with matching chocolat lacquer on the handle and base. The fronts and edges are in dark walnut veneer, and the top is made of ceramic stoneware. The Natural Ash version also includes an interior in chocolat lacquer, a chocolat lacquer handle and base, and fronts and edges in natural ash with a ceramic stoneware top. Lastly, the Black-Stained Ash version combines a chocolat lacquer interior with a noir lacquer handle and base, black-stained ash fronts and edges, and a ceramic stoneware top.

From Christian Werner, designer of the EVERYWHERE storage range, comes SELVANS — a collection distinguished by its use of grooved, dark-stained walnut veneer applied to both the fronts and sides. The grooves measure 1/8″ (4 mm) in width at both the surface and the hollow, with an approximate depth of 1/8″ (3.5 mm).

Meet the designer
Christian Werner
He was born in Berlin in 1959, and has lived in Hamburg since 1984. He studied industrial design in Berlin and Hamburg. Since 1992, he has had his own product design and interior architecture studio. He designs furniture for the foremost international manufacturers and undertake a variety of projects for stands, restaurants, publicity agencies, shops, franchises, etc. He also works with international companies such as Authentics, Carpet Concept, Cinna, Club Med, JAB-Anstoetz, Kabel New Media, Ligne Roset, Thonet, Tonon.
